Who Are We?
God's Touch Healing Ministry (GTHM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian-based ministry that works to support the East Harlem community in the areas of spiritual empowerment and mental wellness through direct community outreach and Arts engagement. GTHM is made up of a wide range of open minded and gifted people from all ages, races, and backgrounds. Feel free to rest your weary heart here. Whatever your history is. Whatever story you have. Your journey may have taken you through unspeakable things, but rest assured, you can find solace with God’s prophetic word and his healing touch at GTHM. Senior Pastor Dr. Reverend Mable S. Elliott, and the Ministry is driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all by walking in love and teaching the wisdom of Jesus through biblical principles for real life situations. Our understanding of the need for community healing is not only informed by lived experience but also by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make positive impacts with all of our pursuits.
We believe that faith based organizations, academic institutions, small businesses and community developers each have an equal moral responsibility to contribute to ensuring that an equal amount of resources and opportunities are available to the neighboring residents.
We are Creative Innovators
We use the power of strategic engagement and storytelling to facilitate mass community healing through the arts. Our creative methods are designed to improve individual and public safety by exploring attitudes and behaviors that can lead to abuse, suicide, and criminal activity. We’ve set out to inform, educate, and empower people who are more exposed to poverty and neglect. Our target populations are residents in East Harlem and surrounding communities.
We Are Community Minded
Since 2006, the God’s touch Healing Ministry platform has focused on creating unique opportunities for personal growth and professional development within our community. We believe that faith based organizations, academic institutions, small businesses and community developers each have an equal moral responsibility to contribute to ensuring that an equal amount of resources and opportunities are available to the neighboring residents. With this strategy of community preservation, GTHM has collaborated with leading organizations such as Isaac’s Quarterly, Love Thyself First, Just Leadership USA, Con Body, ELS Life Fitness, Parent for Parents, NYPD, the Center for Justice at Columbia University, and friends at the Mayor's office.
Faith Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Our primary goal is to provide spiritual guidance and mental wellness principles guided by the living word of Jesus Christ. We continue to hold regular Bible Lessons and Worship Service each Sunday in East Harlem. We facilitate weekday fellowship. We also spread wisdom and biblical insight on our website and over our social media networks. Since 2017 we have expanded to Pakistan to develop God’s Touch Healing Ministry International. We currently have over 1000 members overseas.
